Christ the King Gala Day

The Jewel in our Crown is our annual Gala Day which is a celebration of Junior Football, bringing together both young and old from Coundon and around Coventry. The day has something for all, Junior Football, Musical Entertainment, Side Stalls, Games, Rides Craft Stalls, Food, Drink and Fairground Rides.

The event has been growing steadily over the last 30 years and has now become one of the major events in the entertainment calendar of The City of Coventry and a must for Junior Footballers wishing to play in a 6 a side Tournament, 96 teams will take part involving over 900 players.

The day is organised by a group of enthusiastic local volunteers who work all year round to make the day affordable fun for all, and to help us achieve this we are supported by many generous business people donating equipment and services leading up to and on the day.

Christ The King F.C. rely heavily on the finances of the day which enables us to provide facilities for up to 500 footballers each season from 6 years of age to 50 years of age.

Many people come back year after year to enjoy a day in the open air laughing and joking with friend’s both old and new and their families. If you have not attended before then please make time to come along and enjoy the entertainment and help us finance Junior sport.
